About Us
The office oversees the operation of more than 15 Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and several host homes throughout the Des Moines and West Des Moines area. The individuals served consistently have primary diagnoses of intellectual disabilities or brain injury often coupled with challenging secondary diagnoses such as Autism, Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder.
REM Iowa’s Community Integrated Day Habilitation programs support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing or maintaining life skills and community integration. We offer recreation and social activities in a nurturing environment where individuals can make friends and develop new skills to help them live life to the fullest.
